8% overall from starting baseline
Instant accounts must not allow equity to fall 8% or more from the account’s starting baseline. This overall limit is unique to Instant; 1-Step and 2-Step use 10% in evaluation and on live stage.
| Program | Overall loss |
|---|---|
| Instant | 8% |
| 1-Step / 2-Step (eval + live) | 10% |
Crossing the 8% overall floor — including with floating loss — fails the Instant account. There is no soft-breach path for overall loss.
Example on a $100,000 Instant account
- Starting baseline: $100,000.
- Overall loss floor: equity must not reach $92,000 or below.
- Daily loss for the same size remains 4% (≈ $4,000 adverse equity in a day) — enforced separately.
With a tighter overall cushion than 10% programs, leave more headroom — especially around high-impact events and when running multiple positions.
Relation to withdrawals
Overall loss keeps the account alive. Withdrawal timing (14 trading days default), the 5% per-cycle profit cap, and up to 95% reward share are separate rules in the Withdrawals collection. Instant still has no consistency rules on live stage.
